Translation courses (French 108 A, B) focus on communication in contemporary popular culture (film subtitles, tourism, advertising), and in intellectual life (fiction, dramatic texts, autobiography, editorial, and investigative journalism).
Research: Communication and Culture, Translation, Business, 20th Century Theatre.
My primary interest lies in the ways language and culture combine to generate new forms of communicative interaction in the contemporary francophone world.
